Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 17.4% compared to 2015, reaching 20.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Bulgaria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 27.7% (from 28.2% in 2011).
