Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2010, Croatia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 18.6% compared to 2009, reaching 56.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 80.4%.

Croatia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 38.9% (from 40.9% in 2005).
