Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Croatia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 22.0% compared to 2019, reaching 86.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Croatia ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 82.8% in 2015).
