Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Cyprus's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 23.1% compared to 2019, reaching 113.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Cyprus ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.8% (from 111.6% in 2015).
