Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2024, Croatia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 5.7% compared to 2023, reaching 57.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 80.7%.

Croatia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.0% (from 70.9% in 2019).
