In 2018, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.8% compared to 2017, reaching 17.3%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.
Cyprus ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.6% (from 15.5% in 2013).
