At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.3% compared to 2016, reaching 16.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Cyprus ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.4% (from 16.4% in 2012).
