Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1985, Cyprus's population change increased by 6.3% compared to 1984, reaching 8.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.6% (from 9.3 in 1980).
