Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1998, Cyprus's population change increased by 3.9% compared to 1997, reaching 8.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Cyprus ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.3% (from 7.6 in 1993).
