Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2011, Cyprus's population change increased by 4.8% compared to 2010, reaching 6.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.8.

Cyprus ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.4% (from 6.8 in 2006).
