Life expectancy by age and sex

In 2024, Cyprus's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.8% compared to 2023, reaching 85.6.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 84.1.

Cyprus ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.4% (from 84.4 in 2019).
