In 2025, Cyprus's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status increased by 0.0% compared to 2024, reaching 2.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.7%.

Cyprus ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.3% (from 1.9% in 2020).
