Housing cost overburden rate by poverty status - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Cyprus's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status decreased by 7.7% compared to 2023, reaching 2.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.2%.

Cyprus ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.1% (from 2.2% in 2019).
