Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2002, Czechia's population change increased by 2.2% compared to 2001, reaching 9.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Czechia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.4% (from 8.8 in 1997).
