Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2003, Czechia's population change increased by 1.1% compared to 2002, reaching 9.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Czechia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 8.8 in 1998).
