Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2005, Czechia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 2.1% compared to 2004, reaching 27.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 67.2%.

Czechia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 63.9% (from 16.9% in 2000).
