Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2005, Poland's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 3.6% compared to 2004, reaching 46.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 67.2%.

Poland ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.5% (from 36.2% in 2000).
