Life expectancy by age and sex

In 2007, Czechia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 2006, reaching 80.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 82.2.

Czechia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.9% (from 78.7 in 2002).
