Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1999, Czechia's population on 1 january by age group and sex decreased by 5.5% compared to 1998, reaching 234,256.

Czechia ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 16.3% (from 279,722 in 1994).
