Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1999, Slovakia's population on 1 january by age group and sex decreased by 5.2% compared to 1998, reaching 95,209.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 15.2% (from 112,216 in 1994).
