Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2010, Denmark's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 7.2% compared to 2009, reaching 46.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 80.4%.

Denmark ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.0% (from 39.4% in 2005).
