Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2023, Denmark's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 4.7% compared to 2022, reaching 17.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Denmark ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.3% (from 17.5% in 2018).
