Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex

In 2024, Denmark's persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion by age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 2023, reaching 18.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Denmark ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.0% (from 17.3% in 2019).
