Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1986, Estonia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 1.6% compared to 1985, reaching 70.9.

Estonia ranks 19th out of 21 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.3% (from 69.3 in 1981).
