Life expectancy by age and sex

In 2024, Estonia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.8% compared to 2023, reaching 75.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 78.9.

Estonia ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.8% (from 74.5 in 2019).
