In 2005, Estonia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 4.8% compared to 2004, reaching 493,700.

Estonia ranks 22nd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.4% (from 463,900 in 2000).
