Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1989, Estonia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 1.4% compared to 1988, reaching 38,758.

Estonia ranks 21st out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.1% (from 35,519 in 1984).
