Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2017, Estonia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 3.2% compared to 2016, reaching 0.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.5%.

Estonia ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.5% (from 0.5% in 2012).
