Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Estonia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.4% compared to 2015, reaching 0.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Estonia ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.1% (from 0.4% in 2011).
