Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2009, Finland's population change increased by 1.1% compared to 2008, reaching 9.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.8.

Finland ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.2% (from 9.1 in 2004).
