At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.8% compared to 2022, reaching 12.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

France ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 49.4% (from 8.3% in 2018).
