Housing cost overburden rate by poverty status - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, France's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status increased by 7.7% compared to 2023, reaching 7.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.2%.

France ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 27.3% (from 5.5% in 2019).
