Housing cost overburden rate by poverty status - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Italy's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status decreased by 10.5% compared to 2023, reaching 5.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.2%.

Italy ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 41.4% (from 8.7% in 2019).
