Housing cost overburden rate by poverty status - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Spain's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status decreased by 4.9% compared to 2023, reaching 7.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.2%.

Spain ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.2% (from 8.5% in 2019).
