In 2014, Spain's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 7.2% compared to 2013, reaching 172,407.

Spain ranks 3rd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.3% (from 162,226 in 2009).
