In 2019, France's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 1.4% compared to 2018, reaching 334,519.

France ranks 1st out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.8% (from 379,153 in 2014).
