At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2016, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.2% compared to 2015, reaching 16.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Germany ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.4% (from 15.8% in 2011).
