At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 16.7% compared to 2009, reaching 17.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Germany ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 43.4% (from 12.2% in 2005).
