At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2017, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.4% compared to 2016, reaching 17.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.7%.

Germany ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.3% (from 15.0% in 2012).
