At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2018, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.1% compared to 2017, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Germany ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.1% (from 14.9% in 2013).
