Employment rates by citizenship

In 2019, Germany's employment rates by citizenship increased by 1.0% compared to 2018, reaching 80.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 73.8%.

Germany ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.1% (from 78.1% in 2014).
