Employment rates by citizenship

In 2021, Germany's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.5% compared to 2020, reaching 79.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 73.3%.

Germany ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.1% (from 78.4% in 2016).
