Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2023, Germany's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 2.8% compared to 2022, reaching 33.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 35.1%.

Germany ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.4% (from 29.1% in 2018).
