Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2024, Germany's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 3.6% compared to 2023, reaching 34.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.1%.

Germany ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.4% (from 29.9% in 2019).
