Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2025, Germany's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 3.5% compared to 2024, reaching 35.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.9%.

Germany ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.5% (from 31.2% in 2020).
