In 2021, Germany's at-risk-of poverty rate by most frequent activity status increased by 1.2% compared to 2020, reaching 8.70.

Germany accounts for 97.8% of the EU-27 total of 8.90.

Germany ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 8.4% (from 9.50 in 2016).
