In 2022, Germany's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 7.2% compared to 2021, reaching 260,605.

Germany ranks 2nd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.6% (from 365,182 in 2017).
