Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Germany's unemployment by sex and age increased by 24.1% compared to 2019, reaching 3.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Germany ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.2% (from 4.4% in 2015).
