Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Belgium's unemployment by sex and age increased by 5.5% compared to 2019, reaching 5.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Belgium ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 33.3% (from 8.7% in 2015).
