Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2021, Greece's population change increased by 1.2% compared to 2020, reaching 8.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.2.

Greece ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.9% (from 8.7 in 2016).
